WHO is the RURAL LAND FOUNDATION OF LINCOLN?
The Rural Land Foundation of Lincoln (RLF) is a non-profit land
conservation organization founded in 1965. Our mission is to
help protect the rural character of Lincoln, Massachusetts.
Our 10-person volunteer board is appointed by the
membership of the Lincoln Land Conservation Trust (LLCT),
and the proceeds from RLF's work are used to support the
mission of the LLCT. Two staff members carry out the work of
the RLF. RLF facilitates the preservation of open space
through land planning, land acquisition and limited
development projects.
Focusing on Lincoln, Massachusetts, RLF
- applies creative land planning solutions to preserve
open space and conserve natural resources while
fulfilling the needs of landowners and the community
- supports initiatives to maintain Lincoln's rural character
- owns and operates Lincoln's small commercial center
(Lincoln Station) to best meet the needs of residents.
Proceeds from Lincoln Station support RLF's conservation
efforts.
